About the platform

The Chagas Clinical Research Platform was officially launched in 2009 (the centenary year of the discovery of Chagas disease) at Uberaba, Brazil. This networks gathers different stakeholders from more than 20 countries, supporting the development of new drugs to treat the infection caused by the Trypanosoma cruzi parasite. Its main goal is the cooperation between the R&D initiatives for Chagas disease, enabling clinical studies and promoting trainings and capacity buildings, supporting the strengthening of institutional structures. The Platform aims to provide an environment for technical discussions and information exchange about Chagas disease.
